Our Method, Stage by Stage
Three stages. In this order. On purpose.
Most courses hand you vocabulary on day one and hope the grammar sorts itself out later. We do it the other way round, and it is the reason our students end up speaking instead of translating in their heads.
א
Stage One
Grammar first, in small doses
From your very first lesson you start building the grammar, a little at a time. Not tables to memorise — the patterns underneath, the ones that explain why Hebrew behaves the way it does. It feels slower for the first few weeks. It is the exact reason everything after it moves fast.
ב
Stage Two
Half grammar, half vocabulary
Once about 70% of the grammar is behind you, the balance shifts. Every lesson splits down the middle: closing out the grammar on one side, stacking up real vocabulary on the other. This is the stage where sentences stop being assembled and start arriving on their own.
ג
Stage Three
Street Hebrew and slang
With the grammar finished, there is nothing left to do but collect words. Now it is vocabulary and nothing else — the Hebrew people actually speak in the street, the slang, the shortcuts, the half-sentences no textbook has ever printed.
Stage 1 of 3
The IHI Method
The short way is actually the long way.
There’s an old Hebrew saying that explains exactly why most learners fail. And exactly how we fix it.
People who try to “skip” the foundation — memorizing random words, using translation apps, watching shows without structure — end up taking the longest, most frustrating route to fluency.
At IHI, we build your foundation right from day one. Not with grammar tables. With real phrases, real context, and a method that makes the hard stuff feel easy. We give you the tools, the consistency, and the community to actually stick with it.

Street Hebrew, Not Classroom Hebrew
Order at a café. Chat with strangers. Follow what’s happening around the dinner table. Real situations, from lesson one.

A System That Makes Hard Things Easy
Our method is engineered so that even the trickiest parts of Hebrew feel manageable. No overwhelm. Just steady, satisfying, visible progress every single session.

Free Worksheets After Every Lesson

Your Pace. Your Schedule.
1-on-1 lessons booked around your life. One hour a week or five, the program bends to you. You just have to show up.
The IHI Club · Included With Lessons
One hour a week is a lesson. The other six days are the club.
Most people who quit a language don’t quit in the lesson. They quit in the week after it, alone, with nothing to practise on and nobody to be wrong in front of. So every student here gets a room with the rest of them in it.
ה
A word every morning
One real word or phrase, Sunday to Thursday — what it means, how it sounds, how Israelis actually use it. It lands in the club and in your inbox, already readable, so it costs you thirty seconds. Tick it off and your streak grows.
ו
Somewhere to be wrong
Post the sentence you aren’t sure about. Other students answer, your teacher answers, and you get an email the moment someone does. Being corrected by a person who remembers being where you are is worth more than any app’s green tick.
ז
Ask the teacher, in public
The grammar question you didn’t want to spend lesson time on. Ask it in the club and it gets answered where everyone else can read it — which is how one person’s confusion turns into everybody’s lesson.
אבגדהוז
Seven levels, named for the first seven letters you learn. You climb them by turning up and by helping other people — practice counts for more than popularity here. It installs on your phone like an app, and everyone in the room is a real classmate with a real name. Everyone started at zero.
Two ways in, both free, both open right now. No form to fill in, no email to hand over, no trial that quietly turns into a bill.
Free
Daily Hebrew Word
One word a day in a WhatsApp group: what it means, how it sounds, and how Israelis actually use it. Takes about thirty seconds to read. Leave whenever you want.
