YouTube channels to learn Israeli Hebrew, from beginner to native speed

Free, and for a learner the most useful screen there is: you can slow it to 0.75x, turn Hebrew captions on and replay one sentence ten times. The first three teach; the rest are Israelis being Israeli.

Picked and annotated by the teachers of the Israeli Hebrew Institute. Every entry links to the people who made it; nothing here is hosted by us. How this list is put together.

  • Nir & Gali

    ניר וגלי

    Nir Garber & Gali Adelbaum

    IntermediateAdvancedfree

Two animators whose three-minute sketches ran inside Eretz Nehederet for a decade: a couple in a room and a half, a pet corner, nine lives in one cat. The Hebrew Israeli couples actually speak to each other, fast, and the punchline tells you whether you understood.

Start with the חדר וחצי playlist. One sketch, three times; the third time, laugh on time.
